Do not expose huge sum of cash to any one Exchange foreign currencies only at authorised dealer

Fruits can be bought anywhere (wash with clean water) Buy food products at departmental stores (check for product date and other relevant information before buying) Always get a receipt for any purchase you make as it will be very helpful when you need to exchange

Buy bottled water for drinking and check the name before buying as many brands are available in market and the names are very deceptive to prominent brands Electricity in India is 240 Volts, alternating at 50 cycles per second. You will require a voltage converter if you are carrying a device that does not accept 240 Volts at 50 Hertz. To adjust your device according to the power and voltage in India While entering temples you may have to leave your shoes outside and need to walk quite a distance inside temple, please carry cotton socks which will keep you little comfortable Offerings to the temples to be done at temple offices or offering boxes kept inside temples Carry toilet tissues always while travelling Keep medicines / emergency medical kit handy (eventhough you have many chemists in major cities, but you may find very less numbers when you travel interior) Small torch light will be always helpful while travelling |
